Insana Lab: Ultrasonic Imaging - The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Insana Lab: Ultrasonic Imaging
Researchers in the Ultrasonic Imaging Laboratory at Illinois develop novel instrumentation and analytical methods for discovering biological mechanisms, particularly those related to cancer and vascular diseases in humans. Current areas of research include (a) ultrasonic-based viscoelastic imaging of breast cancer, (b) hydropolymer media as tissue-like phantoms for the development of multimodality breast imaging, (c) accurate measurements of vascular wall shear rate to study adhesion molecule physiology, (d) information-theoretic designs of ultrasonic imaging systems, (e) spatiotemporal coding for improved ultrasonic imaging performance, and (f) efficient array beamforming strategies. We are recruiting exceptional PhD students and postdoctoral fellows with engineering and physical science backgrounds to join the lab. Interested individuals should contact Professor Insana at the address below. Please include a brief statement of research interests and experience, and please send a CV or resume.
